The updated services include optional event planning solutions, setup, post-event cleaning, rehearsal sessions for ceremonies and receptions, and furniture and linen rental. Clients can choose from Meridian’s list of recommended vendors for things like catering, flowers, and entertainment or they can organize their own.
The center regularly plays host to culturally-themed weddings and has become a favorite destination for Latino, Hispanic, and Asian celebrations. The ballroom decor can be customized to reflect the style and taste of the happy couple with the venue’s staff bringing a sensitivity to the traditions and heritage of different communities.
The premium banqueting hall at Meridian Convention Center is the Barcelona Ballroom. This room is the largest among the extensive collection of venues, offering 12,000 square feet of floor space. The ballroom comfortably seats 200 to 615 guests in a banquet-style configuration and comes fitted with eight chandeliers for a timeless and sophisticated aesthetic.
A portable stage measuring 16 x 28 feet can be positioned according to preference, offering ample space for head tables, entertainment, speeches, or other event signage. The Barcelona Ballroom has its own prep kitchen as well as a dedicated restroom and a dressing room for couples and their loved ones.
A separate load-in entrance keeps vendors out of the way of guests with a rolling shutter available for larger consignments of goods and equipment. The flooring is made of wood for a robust, comfortable, and traditional-style appearance. The chandelier lighting is complemented by dimmable, warm white LED lights.
